Abenity Email Overview

Abenity delivers regular member emails to discount program members on behalf of our clients to alert them of new discount offers and keep them engaged with their program. Member emails from Abenity are the #1 way to keep engagement high within your discount program and a core element of our managed services approach.

Below is an outline of the member emails Abenity sends on a regular basis as well as some tips and best practices for maximizing their use.

Schedule of Abenity Member Emails

You can find a schedule of upcoming Abenity Member Emails on the Editorial Calendar inside our Back Office. Below is a list of regular member communications that we deliver:

Spotlight Newsletter: The Spotlight is a mailing delivered to all opt-in discount program members each month. This email features a handful of new and interesting discount offers from a variety of brands. In the Spotlight we also highlight program announcements and updates that will make using your discount program easier for members.

Exclusive Vendor Emails: Periodically throughout the month we will send emails highlighting a new or exclusive offers from a single national brand. Members who are subscribed to the Spotlight Newsletter will also receive Exclusive Vendor Emails (labeled “Featured Offer” in the email subject line).

These emails are generally sent during Weeks 2-4 of each month and are typically delivered on Wednesdays or Thursdays. View Example.

Local Offer Emails: From time to time we highlight offers and brands that are exclusive to members in a particular geographic region. Local Offer Emails bring a hometown feel to your national discount program and give members insight into discounts available right out their front door. Members who are subscribed to the Spotlight Newsletter will also receive Local Offer Emails if they live near the offer location highlighted in the email.

These emails are generally sent during Weeks 2-4 of each month and are typically delivered on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. View Example.

Monday PerkAlert: On Mondays we publish the Monday PerkAlert which is a short weekly digest of Fresh Offers inside the discount program.

The Monday PerkAlert is only delivered to members who have subscribed in the My Profile section of their discount program. View Example.

Tuesday Feature: On Tuesdays we publish the Tuesday Feature which typically highlights one brand and digs deeper into an individual offer. Around special holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Christmas we often deliver “gift giving guides” that may feature multiple brands.

The Tuesday Feature is only delivered to members who have subscribed in the My Profile section of their discount program. View Archive.

Email Branding and Best Practices

Private Label Email Branding

Private Label Branding can be added to the Spotlight Newsletter for clients who have requested this upgrade. Private Label Branding includes your organization’s logo added to the header of each email and a custom From Name and From Email Address. Clients who have opted into Private Label Spotlight branding will also have their logo included in the header of all other Abenity emails. From Name and From Email can only be customized on the Spotlight Newsletter.

Email IP Address Whitelisting

Abenity delivers hundreds of thousands of emails each month to our members. To ensure that your discount program messages don’t get caught in corporate spam filters he highly recommend whitelisting our email IP addresses to ensure that your members may access our sites and receive our emails. Editorial Calendar & Content Restrictions

Abenity lists all of our upcoming email campaigns on the Editorial Calendar inside the Back Office. Viewing this calendar on a regular basis will ensure you are apprised of which communications will be delivered to your members on which days.

We will not send emails featuring any offers that reside in a category you have restricted in your discount program. To manage your Content Restrictions go to My Account in the Back Office and make updates at least 7 days prior to the scheduled email date. Restricting categories through the Back Office is the only way we can effectively manage your email preferences.
